PokerStars announces additional live events for coming year, including:
• EPT Monte Carlo confirmed for April/May slot
• Popular regional tours return after five-year hiatus
Just as the world’s poker players prepare to pack their bags for Prague, PokerStars has announced another stop on this year’s European Poker Tour (EPT).
The continent’s most prestigious tour will return to Europe’s gambling capital of Monte Carlo, with the famed Sporting Club booked again for its traditional April/May slot.
The confirmed dates for the PokerStars European Poker Tour presented by Monte-Carlo Casino® are April 28 – May 7, 2022.
The full schedule will be confirmed soon, but we already know the following highlights:
• €100K Super High Roller: May 1-3
• €5,300 Main Event: May 2-7
• €25K High Roller: May 5-7
Online qualification tournaments are still available on PokerStars for next month’s Prague event, while they are also getting started for the trip to Monte Carlo too. There are daily freerolls and feeder satellites, with buy-ins as little as €1.50.
Find all qualifiers in the PokerStars client by clicking Events –> Live.
Much like the upcoming EPT Prague event, PokerStars will be offering numerous extras for all players during EPT Monte Carlo with exclusive merchandise and competitions with glamorous prizes, such as helicopter transfers and Ferrari rides.
REGIONAL TOURS RETURN!
In addition to bolstering the EPT line-up, we can also reveal that PokerStars’ regional tours will also return this year, with events now planned on the Eureka Poker Tour, through central and eastern Europe, the UKIPT, featuring events in the UK and Ireland, the ESPT in Spain, and the FPS in France.
Countless poker players across the globe have enjoyed their first taste of live tournament action at one of PokerStars regional tours. They have snaked across the planet for many years, bringing a taste of tournament poker action to some less-travelled areas, typically with lower buy-ins.
More details of a long list of tournaments will be also available in due course, but we can already announce the following:
• Eureka Prague (March 6-10)
• ESPT Madrid Gran Via (March 28 – April 3)
• UKIPT London (April 4-10)
• FPS Monte Carlo (April 28 – May 2)
• Eureka Rozvadov (May 20-29)
• FPS Divonne (October 4-9)
• FPS Aix-en-Provence (November 22-27)
The PokerStars Live website will have all the details.
“EPT Monte-Carlo is a favourite for many, and we’re pleased we can now share details for the event along with the exciting announcement that regional tours are back,” said Severin Rasset, Managing Director & Commercial Officer, PokerStars. “We understand that these are uncertain times for everyone. The health and safety of our players and staff is paramount to our plans and we’ll continue to communicate openly with players as each event approaches. Live events have always been a big part of PokerStars, and we can’t wait to get back to the live felt and hope to see many of our players at events soon!”
In short, it’s time to pull the suitcase back down from the attic. PokerStars events are moving back into gear…
